#UWSUActive

#UWSUActive is our new social sport programme to help all our students be active, have fun and feel good about themselves.

What's the catch? There isn't one. These activities are meant for all Westminster students regardless of skill or experience. Aside from our competitive sports, #UWSUActive encourages an all-inclusive programme tailored for you. There's plenty of activities to choose from so rest assured there's something for you. All activities are FREE! We feel it's important that you participate in activities that expand your social circle whilst staying active and healthy. Talk about your win-win situation...

#UWSUActive is about having fun and meeting new people. Activities are designed for all levels of ability and experience. Sessions are organised throughout the week and will primarily be online for the start of this academic year with an array of online exercise classes, e-sports tournaments and even a special guest instructor or two! (Stay tuned for more info)

All our online classes are available to you from the list below, and we will be adding two activities every weeks. 

As we gather more certainty throughout the academic year, we will be adding a detailed timetable of events you can attend.

GEORGIA-MAE FENTON (BRITISH GYMNAST & COMMONWEALTH GAMES GOLD MEDALLIST

The UWSU Active programme is extremely lucky to have to have the support of several top-level athletes in making sure that our students are able to stay fit, active and healthy! This video workout is from British Gymnast, Georgia-Mae Fenton. Georgia-Mae won a Commonwealth games gold medallist for England on the uneven bars and has represented her country in many other international competitions. This video workout, led by Georgia-Mae, is a small window into the life and training regime of an international gymnast and we are extremely lucky to have the opportunity to give this a go!

High intensity, high impact, high reward! We've got another HIIT Circuit to challenge and empower you to stay fit and healthy from the comfort of your own living room (or back garden!)

We're back with another HIIT Circuit class to get you ready for the holiday season! Burn off those excess calories, because let's face it, the holiday weight sure is different during a pandemic.

Mobility Fitness will have you moving better and stronger than you ever have before. Based around flexibility and recovery a combination of stretching, bodyweight exercise and yoga, this class will not only strengthen and flex your body but your brain as well!
